Ask these 7 questions before you get a website built

Ask any developer — including us. If they cannot answer these seven straight, do not spend money there.

In Indore alone, websites are sold anywhere between ₹3,000 and ₹80,000, and the difference is not obvious. These seven questions clear up most of the confusion.

1. Whose name will the domain be registered in?

The answer should be "yours". If the developer keeps it in their own name, you are stuck — at renewal time you pay whatever they ask.

2. What will it cost a year from now?

Ask for the domain and hosting renewal figures now, in writing. Free for the first year and ₹15,000 in the second is an old trick.

3. Who supplies the content and photos?

This is where most projects stall. If it is on you, the timeline is on you too, and that should be clear before anything starts.

4. How many revisions are included?

"Unlimited revisions" usually means "until we get tired and stop". Ask for a number.

5. Can I edit the site myself?

If changing a price or a photo means going back to the developer every time, the site is not really yours. You should get a login and a small panel.

6. How fast does it load on a phone?

Ask for a link to a site they have built and check its mobile score on PageSpeed Insights. Around 90 is good. If it is 40, walk away.

7. What happens if delivery is late?

A date, and what happens if it slips — both in writing. Anyone without an answer has no process.

No time to do all this yourself?

We will do it. 7 days, fixed price.
