What we collect

Only what you give us yourself on the form or on WhatsApp, plus a few technical things every website receives:

• What you gave us: your name, your business name, WhatsApp number, email (if you filled it in), the plan you picked, and your message.
• What arrived automatically: your IP address, your browser and device name, and the link you came from (referrer and UTM). This is used to stop spam and to understand where enquiries come from.
• If you become a client: your billing address and GSTIN, and a record of payments.

We never ask for your Aadhaar, PAN, bank details or passwords. Your card number never reaches us — it goes straight to Razorpay.

What it is used for

• To answer your enquiry. That is the main reason.
• To send quotes, invoices and project updates.
• To stop spam and fake enquiries (IP and timing checks).
• Marketing messages only if you ticked the separate checkbox on the form. That checkbox is separate from the enquiry — leave it unticked and you still get an answer.

Who it is shared with

We do not sell data to anyone. These services are used to run the business, and each gets only as much as it needs:

• Hosting and database — to run the site and store enquiries. The servers are in the Singapore region, the closest to India. The DPDP Act permits this.
• WhatsApp Cloud API (Meta) — to send you auto-replies and updates. Your number and name go to it.
• Razorpay — for payments and invoices, only once you become a client.
• Email service — to send receipts, quotes and reports.
• Google Fonts — your IP is visible to Google while the fonts load. We run no analytics, ad pixels or tracking scripts.

Beyond that it is shared only when the law requires it, or when you ask us to.

Cookies and browser storage

There is no tracking cookie on this site. We keep exactly one thing in your browser — mys-theme — which remembers whether you chose light mode or dark. It never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data clears it too.

How long we keep it

• An enquiry that did not become a client: 24 months, then deleted automatically.
• Client records and invoices: 8 years, because GST and income tax require it.
• WhatsApp chats: as long as Meta keeps them on its platform, which we do not control.

Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

• Access: you can ask for a full copy of whatever data we hold about you.
• Correction: if something is wrong, you can have it fixed.
• Erasure: you can ask us to delete it, except what the law requires us to keep (such as invoices and payment records).
• Withdraw consent: to stop marketing messages, just write "STOP".
• Complaint: if talking to us does not resolve it, you can go to the Data Protection Board of India.

For any request, write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, usually within the same week.

Children

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If it reaches us by mistake and we find out, we delete it.

Security

Everything runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, the database is backed up encrypted every day, and access is limited to the people on the team who need it for their work. Even so — nobody on the internet can guarantee 100%, and anyone who says they can is lying.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes. If something significant changes, we tell the clients we are currently working with on WhatsApp.

These terms apply between you and makeyoursite.in from the moment you send the advance.

What the work is

Whatever the quote says. The page count, the features and the delivery date are all on the quote. If you want something beyond it, we tell you separately what it costs and only do it once you agree. We never add anything without telling you.

When the timeline starts

Counting starts on the day both arrive: the advance payment, and your content (business details, photos, logo). If only the money arrives and the content comes 10 days later, delivery moves 10 days too.

Waiting for feedback does not count either. If there is no reply for 3 days after we send a preview, those 3 days are outside the timeline.

Revisions

Every plan includes two rounds of revisions. A round means you send everything together and we do all of it. Twenty messages one at a time are not separate rounds. After two rounds, small changes are covered by the care plan and larger ones get their own estimate.

Payment

• 50% advance, 50% before the site goes live.
• UPI, bank transfer or a Razorpay link — all three work.
• You get an invoice with every payment. Once GST registration comes through, it becomes a GST invoice.
• If the final payment does not arrive within 7 days, the site may be paused. Paused means switched off, not deleted — it comes back as soon as payment arrives.

Who owns the site

After the final payment the site is entirely yours. Design, code, content — all of it. You can download the files and hand them to another developer without asking us.

The domain is registered in your name and on your email from the start — it does not wait for the final payment. That login stays with you.

Before the final payment the code remains ours. That is why the preview link is temporary.

Content is your responsibility

You should hold the rights to the photos, logo, text and video you give us. If you supply a photo taken from Google or content copied from someone else and a claim arrives later, that is your responsibility.

We do not build anything illegal, or anything carrying false medical or financial guarantees. We will refuse such work even if the advance has already been paid — and in that case the money goes back.

Third-party services

Domains, hosting, Razorpay, the WhatsApp Cloud API, Google — each has its own terms and we do not control any of them. If one goes down or changes its rules, we will help, but we are not liable for it.

What is not guaranteed

Nobody can guarantee a ranking on any keyword on Google. We follow best practice and send a report every month, but we do not promise number one. We do not guarantee sales or revenue either — a website is a tool, not magic.

Limit of liability

In any dispute, our liability is limited to the total amount you paid us for that project. There is no claim against us for business loss, lost profit or data loss.

Stopping the work

You can stop at any time. How much comes back is set out plainly in the refund policy. We can also stop if there is no reply from you for 30 days, or if the behaviour towards the team is not acceptable — in that case we deduct for the work done and return the rest.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Indian law. If there is a dispute, we try to settle it by talking first. If that fails, the matter goes to the courts of Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Before the build starts

The advance comes back in full. Even after you have sent the advance, if you decide this is not the moment and we have not started the design work — 100% back. We will not even ask why. The money returns the way it came, within 5–7 working days.

After you see the preview

The first preview arrives within 48 hours. If you do not like the design at all and two rounds of revisions have not fixed it, the advance comes back — no argument, no cancellation charge.

This has happened twice so far, and both times the money went back the same day.

After the build starts

The advance is not refunded. Once we start work on the full site, the team’s time has already gone in. That is exactly why the advance is 50% and not the whole amount.

You can still stop midway — we hand over the files for the work that is done. You do not have to pay the remaining 50%.

After the site goes live

There is no refund after the final payment. But if something is broken, or the work does not match the quote, we fix it at no extra charge for as long as it takes.

If we are late

If the promised date passes and it is our fault (your content and feedback arrived on time), then:

• 10% off — deducted from the final invoice automatically. You will not have to ask.
• A month of the care plan free — from the day the site goes live.
• More than 7 days late — you can cancel the whole project and take the advance back.

Care plan

The care plan is ₹999/month and you can stop it whenever you like. There is no notice period. The month you stop in is not refunded, but the next one is not charged. One message is enough to turn off auto-renewal.

Domain and hosting

Once a domain is registered its cost cannot come back — that money goes to the registrar and never stays with us. Unused months of hosting are refunded pro rata.

How to ask for a refund

Send a WhatsApp message to +91 86304 15226 or write to [email protected]. We confirm within 2 working days and the money is back within 5–7 working days. We do not control how long a bank or UPI takes after that.
